Akta Patel

M.D.

Dr. Patel was born and raised in the western Chicago suburbs. "Dr. Akta" completed her medical education at The Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and her pediatric residency training at Indiana University Riley Hospital for Children. She is ecstatic to return back home to Chicago for work. She has a massive sweet tooth and enjoys long walks along the lakeshore, traveling, reading, and all things Harry Potter. Her favorite childhood books growing up were The Baby-Sitters Club series. "Dr. Akta" also speaks Gujarati and Hindi. Her professional interests include newborn care, preventative medicine, and mental health.
